Hands up to compliance
As the definition above states “Compliance with the law is expected of all”. However knowing you have to comply, and actually knowing what to comply with are two very different things indeed. In that case what is compliance then? If you Google “compliance” 99 million hits come up (really!), with most of them related to the financial services industry. Any financial advisor will tell you that their industry has the highest and most complex level of compliance you can find.
However compliance with international cross border taxation and immigration will not be far behind. To be fair, an individual working in their home country will know most of the rules they have to follow, e.g. that you have to pay tax and social security etc., but when you go to a new country the rules change and thus so does the compliance, making life more complicated, more so if you do not speak the language.
